                                                 COBBS FIELD

                                                    CHAPTER I

Richard Wood was setting in his recliner in a half awake, half-asleep  state. The room was in semi-darkness the large lighted Billboard across the street cast a small stream of light that kept his room from being in total darkness. Of late he had been receiving a vision of a young girl being murdered, and he felt totally helpless.
One thing he did know was that at some point in time, the murder of the girl would really happen, and he would be involved in the case, but he didn’t know when or where.  Ronald Bovier calmly reached over and grabbed the young girl by her neck, pulling her back toward him.
She tried to scream again, but the pressure of his hands around her throat cut off any sound she wanted to make. The girl began to swing her fists at him, but her punches were feeble, and seemed to have little effect on him. She became weaker, and felt as if she was sinking into a bottomless pit. Her throat was in agony. The pain, and lack of oxygen were becoming unbearable. Before she blacked out, with tears streaming down her face, knowing she was about to die, and there was no one to save her, the girl silently cried out in total despair ‘MOTHER.’
